Hamilton Shipping Port Services is a leading ship agency operating across Ireland and Northern Ireland, serving sectors from tanker and dry bulk to cruise, ferry, military, and offshore trades. We are currently seeking a Ships Agent to support our Dublin team, based in our Dublin office, covering the ports of Dublin, Dún Laoghaire, Drogheda, Carlingford, and Rosslare.

This is a full-time role with weekend and night shifts on a rotating roster. The successful candidate will provide vital support to the day-to-day operations of our ship agency services, ensuring smooth processes before, during, and after each ship’s port visit. No two days are the same, so flexibility, proactivity, and a hands-on approach are essential.

What the role involves:

• Supporting port operations by liaising with port authorities, clients, and service providers.
• Managing documentation and online operational systems.
• Assisting with service arrangements before arrival, during port stays, and after departure.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Background in logistics, shipping, marine, or port operations; Ships Agent experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with maritime and port operations in Ireland is desirable.
• Fluent English, confident with Microsoft Office, and attention to detail with excellent customer service focus.
